Studs: This eBay seller

You’ve probably all seen the TS studded loafers knocking about on the blogosphere recently & whilst they are very pretty & I almost succumbed on saturday whilst I was in the Arndale Topshop, I resisted & decided to make my own.

I love these babies! I am so proud that I resisted to urge to buy them ready made! & it worked out alot cheaper in the end too! Win, win! ^_^

DIY glitter brogues…

DIY GLITTER BROGUESGLITTERMOD PODGEPRIMARK BROGUESDIY GLITTER BROGUES 5DIY GLITTER SHOESDIY GLITTER BROGUES 3

These are now officially the glitteriest shoes I own & they were so easy to make too! I have been wanting to buy a pair of glittery shoes for a while & I really like the silver ones Primark have in their A/W lookbook. However they are not in stores yet & I couldn’t wait so I thought I would just have a go at making my own.

Long story short, I found my old Primark brogues, bought some glitter & glue, mixed the glitter & glue into a paste, painted it all over my brogues & hey presto, I now have a lovely pair of glittery shoes! ^_^

Just bare in mind if you are going to try this out yourself that you have to be quite patient, you have to wait for each layer of glue to dry before adding the next, & it will only work on quite sturdy shoes like brogues/boots rather than say, ballet pumps otherwise the glue will end up cracking whenever the shoes bend.

let me know if you give this a go! Send me your links, I would love to see your DIY’s! ^_^

SO if you follow me on twitter you might already know that the boy & I went on a little trip to Manchester yesterday. It was the prefect opportunity to take my new floppy hat on it’s first outing. I have been on the lookout for a felt floppy hat for what seems like an age now so I was so happy when I found this one at work! I loved it so much that I bought the camel coloured one too! I’m sure it will make it’s debut in an outfit post soon. ^_^

I know you can’t see the glitter brogues I am wearing very well in these pictures but I will be doing a DIY post on them in the next few days so you will be able to see them a bit better then. I’m so excited to show you! They are one of my favourite DIY’s yet! ^_^

Oh yeah, I dyed my hair! :O

DIY denim bustier…

1310129168

LOLZ AT MY TRIANGLE TAN LINES >.<
Bustier: DIY
Skirt: New Look
Tights: Primark

I bought this dress from Miss Selfridge about three years ago & I have only worn it once. I remember buying it because I really wanted a denim dress & I liked the sweetheart neckline. I didn’t particularly like the pointy, flappy, spikey zip things in the skirt but I bought it anyway.

I saw it in my wardrobe the other day & I remembered how much I loved the sweetheart neckline & thought it would be a waste if I didn’t DIY it in some way or another. Anyway, I took my trusty scissors to it, a new zip & a bit of trim later it was transformed it into a lovely new bustier top!

I am really happy with how it has turned out & I am going to get so much more wear out of it now its a top rather than a dress.

What do you think? Did you like it better as a dress or do you prefer my DIY?

DIY floral playsuit…

5FLORAL JUMPSUITFLORAL PLAYSUIT36

Jumpsuit originally AX Paris @ New Look

It’s been ages singe I last posted a DIY! I have missed it, I really want to get back into doing it more often again! I have such a long list of things I want to do but I just haven’t got round to doing them yet.

I bought the jumpsuit about a year ago & I have only worn it a few times. I mostly bought it because I liked the print, I wasn’t too keen on the idea of wearing a 3/4 jumpsuit, but never the less I still wore it. But you know me & my obsession with shorts! I couldn’t resist & I finally gave it the chop & made it into a playsuit. I feel like it is much more ‘me’ now. It was pretty easy to DIY to be honest, all I did was cut the shorts to the length I wanted them & hemmed them.

What do you think? Do you prefer playsuits over jumpsuits too?

(EDIT: for those of you that wanted to see the jumpsuit on before I DIY’d it.)

Cemetery gates ☾ †…

Wolf sweater: POP Boutique @ Wonderland Vintage
Pink diamante shorts: River Island
Tights: Primark
Necklace: Topman
Watch: New Look

I do love my wolf sweater. My next mission is to find an oversized wolf vintagy T-shirt, preferably tie dye or purple, so if anyone knows of such a T-shirt, please point me in the right direction. ^_^

So you may have noticed my hair is a bit blonder than usual. I did ombre it again the other day & I am really happy with it. I did make a video of how I did it & it has been getting a mixed response. I don’t know weather is because people really don’t like change or whether they genuinely think it looks shit but to be honest, I don’t think it looks that different, just a little more blonde than usual.

Also, like I have said before, I am slowly making a few little changes/updates to the blog & you can see that I have formatted this outfit post slightly different than usual so let me know what you think. Do you prefer pictures to be edited together or do you prefer bigger pictures?

‘Play crack the sky’…

BOATER HAT AND SWALLOWS 2BOATER HAT AND SWALLOWS 3BOATER HAT AND SWALLOWS 4STRAW BOATER HATBOATER HAT AND SWALLOWS

Boater hat: Primark
Swallow top: (DIY) originally Urban Outfitters
Vest top: (underneath) Topshop
Denim shorts: New Look
Tights: Primark
Belt: New Look
Necklace: Topman sale
Watch: New Look

I wore this (bar the hat) yesterday. The hat is actually my sisters, she got it from Primark for £2 or something which is amazing!!! I would love to be able to wear it out the house properly but it is quite big & pretty light so I fear it would be blowing off my head constantly. Ahh well, it is a pretty fun prop & great for wearing, lounging around in the garden.

I have had the swallow top for YEARS! It’s going to sound lame but I first remember seeing it on one of the (less look at me I’m butt naked) suicide girls photos on MySpace, remember those days? ha, anyways I loved it & searched everywhere for it & eventually found it in Urban Outfitters. It was originally more of a tunic but I cut it into a vest top last week & I really really like it! I have a teeny tiny obsession with birds hence the print & my tattoo :’) I’m actually hoping to get some bigger birds tatted onto my back sometime soon but I need to draw them first & have so many more tattoos that I want that I will probably end up getting something completely different before that. Also my hair DESPERATELY needs re-doing, I totes need to stock up on some bleach! Ahh, life.

(Edit: So I did buy some bleach & refreshed my hair ^_^ take a look, it’s getting mixed reactions at the moment so take a look & let me know what you think, I will try & take some outfit photos this weekend so you can see my hair a little better. TBH I really like it, I know it is blonder than it used to be but like I said, I really like it so try not to be too harsh if you don’t.)

Coloured brogues: £14, in store October

Burgundy floppy hat: no info
Star belt: no info
Silver glitter jazz shoes: no info

This is kind of a whole different post format to what I am used to & I know every blogger & their dog has blogged the Primark A/W 2011 collection, & I am pretty late doing it myself but I am trying & make my blog a bit more than just outfit photos so what better way than to swoon over a bit of Primark!

I don’t know about you guys but I am kind of over Summer. I said I was getting bored of it on twitter the other day & I’m sorry, but I really am so much more of an Autumn kind of person. Summer is so overrated, don’t get me wrong I love a bit of sunshine but you simply can’t beat tights, long dark nights, autumn leaves & knitwear! So I am thrilled that A/W stock is beginning to creep back into the shops!

There was actually so much more than this that I wanted to show you but download restrictions are a pain, so you will probably be seeing a sister post to this with my other picks soon, also, I seem to have picked a hell of alot of items that don’t have any info yet, sorry about that.

I am DYING to get my hands on that hat!!! It has to be my favourite piece of the whole A/W collection so far so I’m going to be pretty upset if I can’t get my hands on one once they hit the shops! I have also taken a huge fancy to the aztec leggings & pink brogues, maybe not to be worn together but hey you can’t beat a bit of aztec & who could live without a pair of bubblegum brogues?!

So what do you think? Do you have any favourite pieces, are you excited for A/W stock hitting the stores or am I just a Summer grump? Ha!
