minkpink…

MINKPINKMINKPINK ROSE GOLDMINKPINK 1
Wool biker jacket*: Mink Pink via Out & About
Mesh sweetheart top: ASOS (old)
Ombre jeans: H&M
Suede platform boots*: Missguided

It’s getting so cold & dark for taking outfit photos outside, I forgot what winter blogging was like! Ahahahaha! But at least I had my new Mink Pink wool biker jacket (which is on sale on ASOS at the moment so snap it up while you can!) to keep me toasty! It’s such a great alternative to ye olde leather jacket & it keeps you a million times warmer too Score! & who doesn’t love a bit of rose gold hardwear? Thank you very much Mink Pink & Out & About.

These jeans got a lot of love a few weeks ago in my instagram (@effiesmakupbox). I got them from H&M. it was love at first sight I thought they were suitably quirky while still being quite wearable as they are black, grey & cream they go with pretty much anything. What do you think of ombre jeans? Are they something you would wear or do you think ombre should be just for hair?

Also, Jo has written a lovely article about one of my outfits on OOTD Magazine, it would be awesome if you could go & take a peek here>link

Mango head…

I constantly get asked questions about my hair. I did upload a video, a little while ago, explaining exactly how I dye it but I thought I might as well do a blog post too as it’s always useful to look at pictures as well as watching a video.

Firstly, you can see that my hair is two different colours. I like the ombre ‘effect’ & I think it looks just as nice on red as it can on brown/blonde hair. I just think that it adds a bit more dimension. I use L'Oreal feria ‘mango’ to colour the majority of my mop. It is a permanent dye & literally the ‘red’ I have been searching for for years! I have dyed my hair red on numerous occasions using numerous different box dyes & none have been right for me. This may sound silly but, they have all been ‘too red’ where as ‘mango’ has more copper tones in it than any other box reds I have  seen in the shops, making it a little more ‘natural’ looking which is why I like it so much.

Now for the ‘ombre’. As I said before, I only colour the top of my hair with the permanent dye, the ends of my hair are coloured with La Rich’e directions hair pot ‘apricot’ which is a semi permanent dye so it needs topping up every so often to keep it looking vibrant but I really like the colour so topping it up every few weeks isn’t a problem for me.

So there you have it, I tried to keep it short & sweet, I didn’t want to bore you with too much hair talk, but if you have anymore hair related questions, just ask me & I will answer as best I can! :)

Creep…

YAYO
Leather jacket: Topshop
Green black faux fur stole: ASOS
Wolf t-shirt: ebay
Shorts: Levis
Knee high socks: New Look
Shoes: Topshop

I wore this outfit the other day & I actually wasn’t planning on wearing the faux fur stole, but I’m glad I did, it annoys me how the green tint in the fur doesn’t show up on camera though :( Also, you can’t tell from the photos but it was actually snowing but thankfully it wasn’t that cold! ^_^

You are probably all getting sick & tired of me wearing my hair like this (I am too) but my hair just doesn’t seem to want to do anything else at the moment, & because it’s cold & I have been basically living next to the radiator in our flat, it’s SO DRY too, I need to buy some deep conditioner asap! >.<
