WHAT HAIRTRADE SAY: Giving your hair more colour and attitude with this Fudge Paintbox Extreme colour, Paintbox semi-permanent creative colour lasts between 3 and 30 washes. It is ammonia free and peroxide free. This colour stains the cuticle layer on the hair, also provides vibrant, dramatic results on pre-lightened hair and more subtle tones on natural hair. It can conditions as it colours, giving the hair increased shine and luster.

WHAT I THINK: I normally like to colour my hair every month or so to keep the roots at bay however the ends of my hair normally need refreshing a little more often with a semi permanent dye to keep it looking vibrant & not too yellowy. (to read more about my hair colour & colouring routine, you can here>link) This month I switched my usual semi permanent dye to the  fudge paint box in ‘goldfinger’. My hair is quite porous as it has been bleached to death at the ends, so I normally find that bright semi permanent dyes take quite well, this one being no exception. All in all, the colour is very similar to my usual dye, it’s nice & bright, keeps my hair soft & lasts a good few washes before I had to top it up.

The paint boxes come in a verity of different colours too ranging from various reds & oranges to bright blues & purples & even green. There is also a white/toner colour which (from experience) is always necessary if you bleach your hair! That’s a pretty good colour range if you ask me!

I’d definitely recommend the fudge paint boxes if you are like me & like using semi permanent dyes on your hair quite often/ like top dabble in bright/pastel hair every now & then. It’s easy to apply, the colour lasts quite a while, depending on how often you wash you hair & it keeps your hair feeling really soft!

WHAT I THINK: I am not the biggest tanner in the world, but when I want to bare my legs, I do prefer to have a bit of colour (that’s not strawberry milkshake coloured) without looking too dark/orange. I normally reach for gradual creams, as they are usually more subtle than instant or any other self tans however, after giving the St Tropez bronzing mousse a bash, I don’t think I will be heading back down the gradual tan route any time soon.

I was a little apprehensive at first as I was worried that the St Tropez mousse would be too dark for my skin, I had images of me walking around looking like a tangoed goldfish, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. The tan looks really natural & not orange at all, I am seriously impressed!

Now I can’t talk about the smell (having no sense of smell at all) but I have seen/heard people say that fake tan often smells biscuity? Like I said, I literally have no idea what I’m talking about here, but my boyfriend said that the St Tropaz mousse smelt of almost nothing, in the tube & on the skin, so I guess that’s good?

The mousse formula makes it really easy to apply & it dries pretty fast to, so there’s no ‘walking around the house like John Wayne until it soaks in’ malarkey.  Which is good, because that’s never a good look ;)

Overall, I would say that I am extremely impressed with this product & would definitely re-purchase.

WHAT I THINK: My hair is not exactly in the best condition. I haven’t had it cut in three years (pixie crop disaster) & I have dyed, bleached & heat damaged my hair non stop, so it’s no wonder the ends are so frazzled. This product has been a life saver.

I have tried various ‘repair’ products before & none have been as good as the Clynol sealed ends fluid. It really has seemed to have ‘repaired’ the ends of my hair to some extent. I know nothing can truly repair split ends (except for old fashioned scissors) but this product really has made the ends of my hair a lot smoother & look a lot healthier.

As long as I don’t use to much, it doesn’t weigh my hair down & it has never felt like I had ‘product’ in my hair which is plus because nobody likes crusty/gooey hair! Compared to all the oil based & other cream treatments I have tried in the past, the Clynol repair fluid really has been the best. I would totally recommend it if your hair is in need of a bit of ‘help’ (or if you are like me & just plain scared of the hairdressers) It really had made a big difference to my hair & I will definitely be looking into other Clynol ‘repair’ products!

WHAT I THINK: I have never been the biggest hair extension wearer in the world but I think colour extension highlights are a great idea. You can get this seasons coveted pastel hair without the commitment or hair damage. If you have been reading my blog for a while, you might remember when I sprayed my hair pink. I did love it but because of my damaged hair, some of the colour stuck even after I washed the spray out & it dried my ends out too. With the highlights there is no damage so they are a great solution to the whole hair drying out problem & obviously, you can simply put them in & take them out as you please so there’s no need to worry if the colour is going to wash out properly or not.

The extensions themselves are really comfortable, I can can hardly feel them when I have them in, & they stay secure to my hair until I decide when I want to take them out. The hair it's self  is pretty soft, & easy as my own hair to heat style.

All in all, I think that extension highlights are a great product. They come in an array of colours so if you are looking for something a little more natural or even a little brighter, there is sure to be a colour to suit.
