Yay for youtube!

Wooo for YouTube

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

And so my journey begins I uploaded another video ^_^

I wanted to say thank you for all the great feedback you have given me on social & on my channel, you are AWESOME, THANKYOU!

For those of you that don’t know:

I have decided to re-boot my makeup & style channel with my favorite pastimes, collecting Funko Pops, My little Pony, Zelfs & all things geeky really.

Like it says in my channel banner, it's the perfect channel for virgin geek #fbloggers & on the ball nerds alike.

I just wanted to break the mould with fashion & beauty blogging, trying to showcase that even though you can be interested in those things, they are not necessarily the be all & end all of life on the internet & otherwise.

Alot of you might not be interested in my new videos, & that's fine but I wanted to make a place that likeminded people & anyone who is even slightly interested can enjoy & let you know that it's completely fine to like what you like & if you happen to be a 20 something that likes collecting figures & toys then that's a good thing!

So tune in for collections, tags, general faq's & more! :D

Let me know what you think of my first Funko Pop video! :D

What’s on my cosmic nails…#10

GALAXY NAILS2GALAXY NAILS
Dark blue: Barry M, Navy
White: Boots 17, mini skirt
Dark purple: Barry M, vivid purple
Glitter: Barry M, Hologram
I was so excited to try out ‘galaxy’ nails. I think they turned out OK. :/ They aren’t my most favourite nail design ever but, I suppose it was fun to try out a new technique. I basically just sponged colours on top of each other to make a cloudy, space like effect then added the glitter polish to look like stars. :S THEYWERESOHARDTOPHOTOGRAPH!!! :/ They look better IRL, promise. ;)

All in all, I like them but they are just alot darker than the nail colours I normally like to wear. I don’t know, I think I just miss last weeks neon green nails. Back to brights next week I think! ;)

Freak Laboratory mineral foundation*…

freak laboratory mineral foundationfreak laboratory mineral foundation 1freak laboratory mineral foundation2
REVIEW:
WHAT FREAK LABORATORY SAY: ‘’This foundation best suits normal skin; skin that is not excessively oily or overly dry. It should be applied with a kabuki brush, in circular motions. It’s free from parabens + bismuth oxychloride, and the use of titanium dioxide in this foundation means some SPF is provided.’’
WHAT I THINK:
Packaging:First of all, I want to say how amazing I think the packaging is. Like most people, I am often drawn to products with great packaging & Freak Laboratory ticks all the right boxes: sleek, durable, not overly fussy & a down right fab logo!

Product:
Ever since my massive acne breakout in 2009 (& I mean massive, This is not just a few dimples I’m talking about here, my face literally looked like someone had thrown boiling water on me. It was that bad. I couldn’t wear anything on my face at all & it was very painful. I’ll not go into the deets but it was a pretty low time for me.) Trips to the docters were never vey successful & I obviously wanted something to cover the molten lava lumps acne on my face so I turned to Bare Minerals. I tell you now, it worked WONDERS & I have been a lover of mineral make-up ever since. However I’m not so in love with the hefty BM price tag. £25 a pot, to me is pretty expensive so when I saw that Freak Laboratory foundations retail at just £10 for basically the same product in the same sized pot I was super impressed! Not only that but Freak Laboratory offer a wider range of colours, so you can really find the perfect shade for your skin & even better news… they also offer small samples of foundations for only £1 per sachet so you can match your colouring up perfectly before going all out & spending your hard earned money on a full sized pot.

Application:
You can apply the foundation with either a kabuki or foundation brush, depending on the finish you want. I have been applying mine with the kabuki brush FL kindly sent me (pictured) & I also tried applying it with the infamous elf powder brush & found that that works pretty well too! The foundation feels really light on the skin, it feels like my skin can breathe which is always good!

Conclusion:
I would definitely recommend this foundation if you don’t like the feeling of heavy makeup but still want a full coverage. I would also recommend mineral foundations to anyone having problems with their skin, like I said, it worked wonders for me & with Freak Laboratory, the colour range is vast so you are bound to find one which is your perfect match while not being too harsh on your skin whilst not breaking the bank.

WHAT DO YOU THINK: Have you ever tried anything from Freak Laboratory? Have you ever tried any mineral make-up? What did you think of it?

I have had this hat for goodness know how long now & I wear it literally all the time so I am pretty hocked that this is it’s debut on my blog. Liam always calls me George (R R Martin) or Patrick (Stump) whenever I wear it (good job he likes both those people ;)) & I do feel like a lost member of the Village People when I wear it sometimes but you know what, I don’t even care, I still love it! ^_^

Anyway, enough about my hat, how amazing is my dress?! It’s by Somedays Lovin’ & I can safely say they are a new favourite brand. Seriously guys, they are way up there with MinkPink & Evil Twin! You all know I love a good smock/swing dress & this one is so on point! The material hangs perfectly & I love the cut out back! Thank you so much Out & About & Somdays Lovin’. If there is one thing I am loving this season, monochrome & fluffy jumpers aside, it’s the asymmetric/biker/pu/vinyl skirts that are EVERYWHERE! & this beaut from BANK doesn’t disappoint. As usual, as it is not black (I’m obsessed with black) I was a little apprehensive of the colour, thinking it might clash with my hair & all that jazz, but I think it goes quite well & I can’t wait to wear this baby through the Autumn! It comes in couple of different colours (you can check them out here>link) ps, the burgundy one I am wearing is in the sale now too! ;) Also, if you haven’t checked out the BANK site already, you really should, they stock some awesome brands & have some proper little gem pieces, definitely worth a look! La La Land…

IMG_4570IMG_4728IMG_4369IMG_4776IMG_4682bubble dogIMG_4340new look cut out bootsnostalgic feather jewellery shark tooth braceletIMG_4642
King Of The Jungle Dress*: MINKPINK via Out & About & Urban Outfitters
Five panel Cap: ASOS
Cut Out Buckle Boots: New Look
Shark Tooth Bracelet: Nostalgic Feather
Leather choker: ebay

I was kindly sent this King of the jungle MINKPINK dress (which has just landed at Urban Outfitters) last week, along with 9 other bloggers, to style up & tell you all about the amazing competition Urban Outfitters are currently holding here>link. You could be in with the chance of winning £500 to spend on MINKPINK product during a shopping spree at UO! Pretty wicked, huh?! ;) To enter, simply click here>link. Oh & if you are feeling a little eager & want to spend your pennies on MINKPINK, Urban Outfitters currently have FREE DELIVERY on all orders over £60 which is a pretty sweet deal :)

I absolutely love the KOTJ dress, I’m sure you will be seeing it a lot in your  feeds over the next few days, as, as I said before, 10 of us were lucky enough to be sent it but as per usual, but seriously, how could you not love it?! The standard of MINKPINK’s products are unbelievably high, you really do get the most quality for your money, I really can’t recommend them enough! But then again, I am a serious die hard MINKPINK fan! ;)

Oh yeah, do you like the bubbles? ;) Liam & I decided to buy Jack a bubble gun last weekend, but as you can see from the picture above, he was less than amused with the whole thing, ahahaha so we thought it might be kind of cool to try & use them in an outfit post & I am really pleased with how the photos have turned out, gotta love bubbles! ^_^

Now I can’t not talk about the amazing shark tooth bracelet I’m wearing, I bought it from Nostalgic Feather after seeing Sarah from Fashion Dotty (who’s blog is amazing btw!) wearing one on her instagram last week & I haven’t had it off my wrist! Nostalgic Feather have some serious style guys, I am seriously LOVING their work, check them out here>link.
