I constantly get asked questions about my hair. I did upload a
video, a little while ago, explaining exactly how I dye it but I thought I might as well do a blog post too as it’s always useful to look at pictures as well as watching a video.
Firstly, you can see that my hair is two different colours. I like the ombre ‘effect’ & I think it looks just as nice on red as it can on brown/blonde hair. I just think that it adds a bit more dimension. I use
L'Oreal feria ‘mango’ to colour the majority of my mop. It is a permanent dye & literally the ‘red’ I have been searching for for years! I have dyed my hair red on numerous occasions using numerous different box dyes & none have been right for me. This may sound silly but, they have all been ‘
too red’ where as
‘mango’ has more copper tones in it than any other box reds I have seen in the shops, making it a little more ‘natural’ looking which is why I like it so much.
Now for the ‘ombre’. As I said before, I only colour the top of my hair with the permanent dye, the ends of my hair are coloured with
La Rich’e directions hair pot ‘apricot’ which is a semi permanent dye so it needs topping up every so often to keep it looking vibrant but I really like the colour so topping it up every few weeks isn’t a problem for me.
