I constantly get asked questions about my hair. I did upload a video, a little while ago, explaining exactly how I dye it but I thought I might as well do a blog post too as it’s always useful to look at pictures as well as watching a video.
Firstly, you can see that my hair is two different colours. I like the ombre ‘effect’ & I think it looks just as nice on red as it can on brown/blonde hair. I just think that it adds a bit more dimension. I use L'Oreal feria ‘mango’ to colour the majority of my mop. It is a permanent dye & literally the ‘red’ I have been searching for for years! I have dyed my hair red on numerous occasions using numerous different box dyes & none have been right for me. This may sound silly but, they have all been ‘too red’ where as ‘mango’ has more copper tones in it than any other box reds I have seen in the shops, making it a little more ‘natural’ looking which is why I like it so much.
Now for the ‘ombre’. As I said before, I only colour the top of my hair with the permanent dye, the ends of my hair are coloured with La Rich’e directions hair pot ‘apricot’ which is a semi permanent dye so it needs topping up every so often to keep it looking vibrant but I really like the colour so topping it up every few weeks isn’t a problem for me.
So there you have it, I tried to keep it short & sweet, I didn’t want to bore you with too much hair talk, but if you have anymore hair related questions, just ask me & I will answer as best I can! :)
