Hi again! I have uploaded a new video to my YouTube Channel & it would mean the WORLD if you could please watch it. I'm trying really hard to get back into the swing of blogging etc again & I have re caught the YouTube bug (aka finally got some video inspiration back.) FINALLY!

Some of you might hate the fact that I am back on YT, I know people used to give me shit for my videos, hence why I kinda stopped but you know what, screw you! I'm back & enjoying myself, talking about more than just fashion & beauty, basically just doing what I do best, goofing around!

As you can see from the above gifs, Liam & I made a video together ^_^ we had so much fun & will be doing more soon!

I took a trip to Primark last week & was strangely drawn to this tee dress. It’s not my usual ~style~ whatever that means, but I obviously liked it enough to buy it & I am so glad I did. When I posted a photo of it on my instagram @ twitter (@effiesmakeupbox) a fair amount of you guys asked me how I would wear it as they had bought it too but weren’t sure how to style it, well here you go, my sort of sports luxe look. I think the polo neck underneath adds a bit more dimension to what could be quite a ‘boring’ outfit & the Henry Holland socks (thank you tights please) add the perfect preppy, 90’s, sporty touch.

I can’t believe how busy I have been this week, it’s been a bit of a whirlwind! On Monday, I got a call from Amy at Maker projects asking if I wanted to be in a mini film that they were making for New Look for London Fashion week, obviously I jumped at the chance & that same night, I was whisked off to London to start filming the next day. Tuesday consisted of lots of filming & I also got to meet the lovely Jen & Monica! Wednesday I headed to Manchester to film the voice over & now I’m just waiting to see the results! I am going to post a little behind the scenes either tomorrow or Tuesday so you can see some of the photos of what we got up to.

It was also my last day interning at Missguided on Thursday :( I have had such an amazing time there & have learned so much, thank you so much for putting up with me for so long Sara! (‘: But tomorrow is also a big day for me as I start my new job! Eeee, I am so excited. & you may have noticed the newest addition to my tattoo family…hello crescent moon! (finally, I have literally been meaning to get it for ages & finally had a bit of spare cash the other day! YAY!)

Now for the outfit, the top was sent to me by Lashes Of London just before Christmas but I haven’t had chance to wear it until now. It’s maybe a little spangely for daytime wear but dressed down with flats & my trusty hat, I think I got away with it? I love the colour of the sequins & the cut out back is perfect, thank you so much Lashes Of London!

I am so happy! I have finally got a job again! A proper job! If you follow me on twitter you may already know that I lost my job as a visual merchandiser just before Christmas as the shop I worked in closed down *boo* but I have been keeping busy, still interning at Missguided with Sara & searching for more work. But now all my hard work & waiting has paid off as, as of Monday 11th Feb I am starting work at DaisyStreet! Eeee I’m so excited! (‘: Anyway enough about me, onto the clooooothes…

If you follow me on instagram (@effiesmakeupbox) you have probably already seen this dress & these boots! & as loads of you were asking where the boots are from, I shall start with those… They are from a site called Chicnova & are super comfy. If you are anything like me & don’t like wearing heels much then these babies will be perfect for you, they are so easy to walk in & as I already said, they are super comfy! OK, now for the dress. It was sent to me by the lovely people of AX Paris. I chose it purely for the print, although the cut of the dress is pretty cute too, it’s made of a really nice quality material, a little on the short side of life, but cute none the less. It’s definitely a dress up or down dress which is fab as I love versatile pieces so much because you get so much more wear out of them!

Sorry I’ve been a little MIA the past few weeks, a lot of things have been happening in my life away from the internet & my blog has taken a bit of a back seat. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas & New Year! Aside from the naff side of things that have been going on IRL lots of lovely things have been happening too, having fun with the boy, friends & family, dogs & chickens included ahahaha, I finally met the lovely Kim (Sweet Monday) in real life! Yay, I was caught a little off guard so probably came across as a right weirdo (sorry Kim (‘:) & some exciting shoots with the lovelies at missguided are happening in the the next couple of weeks so I have plenty of stuff to keep me busy :)

This is my new favourite outfit…ever. It’s so comfy yet still looks like I’ve made a little bit of an effort ahahaha. I am going to apologise now because you are all most probably going to get so, so sick of me wearing this hat, I bought it from H&M as a little Christmas present to myself & I haven’t had it off my head since, best £7.99 I ever spent! The jumper is from Primark, I snapped it up in the sales for a fiver, It’s a size 20 so it’s amazingly oversized, just how I like my jumpers, nice & cozy :)

This outfit is officially my new favourite, I love the layers & the fact that it’s all black except for the band of sequins. It has definitely got me in the mood for Autumn. You have probably seen this skirt before if you follow me on instagram (@effiesmakeupbox) as I have been instagramming it, & it’s sisters, like mad the past week or so. I love it & I know quite a lot of you guys love it too so you will be happy to hear that they are live on the missguided site now so snap yours up while you can!

The hamsa bracelet was courtesy of The Pretty Junk. I literally haven’t taken it off since it arrived. I love that it’s really quite dainty but still eye catching & the fact that it goes with everything that I wear is awesome! If you haven’t already checked out The Pretty Junk, you really should. OK so after asking on here, twitter & facebook about what you would think of me doing ‘wishlist’ type posts, I have decided to give it a shot as most of you said you would be interested to see what I’m lusting after. So here’s what I’m craving at the moment…enjoy! :)

DIY glitter brogues…

These are now officially the glitteriest shoes I own & they were so easy to make too! I have been wanting to buy a pair of glittery shoes for a while & I really like the silver ones Primark have in their A/W lookbook. However they are not in stores yet & I couldn’t wait so I thought I would just have a go at making my own.

Long story short, I found my old Primark brogues, bought some glitter & glue, mixed the glitter & glue into a paste, painted it all over my brogues & hey presto, I now have a lovely pair of glittery shoes! ^_^

Just bare in mind if you are going to try this out yourself that you have to be quite patient, you have to wait for each layer of glue to dry before adding the next, & it will only work on quite sturdy shoes like brogues/boots rather than say, ballet pumps otherwise the glue will end up cracking whenever the shoes bend.
