A month in outtakes, May…

I thought I’d show you a collection of ‘outtake’ photos from all of my outfit posts this month. I don’t like to take myself too seriously & me & Liam always have some laughs when we look through the photos we take, so I thought it might me kind of fun for you guys to have a giggle at some of the pictures that don’t make the cut too! ;)

They mostly consist of me having my eyes closed (constantly >.<) pulling faces at Liam because he’s always trying to make me laugh, I often loose my balance & it’s always quite windy here in Pamplona so there’s always photos where I’m looking pretty windswept ahahaha!

Are you interested in seeing more posts like this or should I just keep these photos hidden away in a folder on my computer? ;) I just don’t think I’ve ever seen a post like this on a blog before so what do you think of me making this a monthly feature?

You are all probably hella sick of seeing galaxy print as it’s always everywhere. Hell, I thought I was sick of it too until I laid eyes on this baby on ROMWE. It was one of those see, love, need moments haha. It looks just as lovely in real life as it did on the web! I do feel like a complete tool whenever I wear skirts/dresses though, I just don’t feel like they suit me all that well. (not that this thought process went through my head when I ordered it >.<)  However, after about half an hour of fannying around in front of the mirror all ‘does it suit me? Do I look too girly? Actually I think it’s OK…or maybe not, damn I look weird in skirts…’ Liam assured me that I didn’t look ridiculous & looking back at these photos now, I don’t think it looks as bad as I thought & I actually really like this outfit lol.

I am in love with this top from ROMWE! It’s everything I could ever want in a t-shirt: it’s black, covered in mesh, not too long, not too short & it fits perfectly! I have worn it so much since it arrived, I’m just gutted that I didn’t get the white one too while I had the chance as unfortunately it’s sold out now WAH! Ahh well, one is better than none! (Just checked & the black is also sold out >.< but there is a similar one here>link :))

How amazing is this bracelet?! The lovely Jade from Ginger Pickle sent it & I haven’t had it off my wrist since it arrived. It’s been hand sawn from copper & oxidised make it a dark gunmetal colour. It is also stackable! There is an offer in store where if you buy two, you get a third one for free so you can have three of these handmade babies stacked on your wrist for the price of two! Awesome!

I love this top. I bought it literally ages ago after searching high & low for it for ages, I think it was one of the first things I ever bought after setting up my ebay account all those years ago ahaha, anyway, I bought it & after realising it didn’t look quite right, I cut it up to suit me, like you do! ;) Eee, I cut way too many of my clothes up…

My hat is another victim of my trusty scissors! It used to be a floppy hat & I loved it, I really did, but looking back, I just don’t think it really suited me that well, so I cut about an inch of the rim off & sewed the top of it into a different shape (hard to explain how, don’t ask >.<) & now I think it looks a lot better on my pea head.

‘As Bad As I Guana Be’ nails…

Did your head just explode after seeing all those prints?! Amazing aren’t they?! I think you will find the answer to both of those questions is YES! Emma Mulholland has done it again, only this time, with lizards. Keeping with the Aussie theme, it’s surfer, meets basketball meets, reptile with this collection. I love the tie dye, the mesh, the sporty theme, the sequins, the everything! I still can’t decide which print I like the most Gila or Iguana? & How awesome is it that all the pieces look so wearable & interchangeable?! I can just imagine wearing the Iguana swimsuit when me & the boy go on our surfing trip this summer & I need to get my hands on one of those caps! I can’t wait for this collection to hit the store!

When Emma got in touch with me after she saw my ‘tropical rebel’ nails I was ecstatic! & when she asked me to paint up some more nails for ‘As Bas As I Guana Be’ I literally fell off my chair, I read her email through at least five times just to make sure it was real ahahha! Anyway, these are the nails I came up with in the end, one wheel for the iguanas & one for the gila monsters, what do you think? Even though they didn’t make it to Aus in time to be shot in her lookbook & short fashion film, which was showcased at the Grand Social as part of Sydney fashion week, in the end (gutted isn’t the word >.< damn air mail) I am still proud to have been given the awesome opportunity to work with such a fab designer. Seriously Emma, you are amazingly talented, keep up the awesome work!

My camera has been lagging recently, we’ve been having problems with the zoom & it can be quite difficult to get it to focus properly sometimes too. I actually really don’t like these photos much, I normally really enjoy going through the shots we take & editing them but recently it’s been so frustrating. (& it doesn’t help that my pictures go all grainy when I upload them to blogger >.<) I dunno, maybe it’s just because I’m a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to stuff like this… Gawd, I’m such a moaning Myrtle…


I watched Heathers for the first time ever last night (shocking, I know >.<) It’s such a great film, I can’t believe I’d never watched it sooner! You just can’t beat a good ol’ 80’s movie!

I look utterly miserable in this photo ahahha! It was really windy & my camera was having real trouble focusing properly because of all the leaves & stuff flying around in the air, & the light was shoddy, basically, we were both getting more & more fed up, hence why my face looks like it’s just been slapped with a wet fish…ahh well.

I love this playsuit! You have probably already seen this print before, as it’s all over the blogosphere at the moment. But when AX Paris got in touch with me  to ask if I wanted to pick something out, I couldn’t resist this beauty! There are two different versions, one with & one without straps, I chose the bandeau one as I thought it would be perfect for summer. It’s such a gorgeous colour & I love the shell print & the fabric is really nice! I was expecting it to be cotton, but its sort of silky. It makes me feel like a mermaid! ^_^

Woah I have hair that Marge Simpson would be jel of, well, maybe not but either way, I like it! & look guys, no roots! you may have seen on twitter the other day that my Mum & sister sent me my hair dye! There is no better feeling than having freshly dyed hair, I tell you! All I need to do now is refresh the ends then my hair will be back to it’s fiery state! :)

How amazing is this ring from Little Nell?! I literally haven’t taken it off my finger since it arrived I love it so much! Thank you Penny. If you haven’t already, you need to check out Little Nell, there are some seriously awesome jewls! I still have my eye on the hamsa necklace, I am currently saving the pennies for it so hopefully I will be able to buy it soon! #exciting

OK, so these photos were taken about a week ago, hence why I still have awful roots >.< But nether the less, I thought I’d post it anyway because I quite like my this outfit ;) I was going for a kind of sporty look but I ended up putting a bit of a grungy edge on it by wearing my camo jacket, I dunno, what do you think? I love my new joggers, they are quite different to any other jogging bottoms I have ever owned, I really like how the zips ‘smarten’ them up a little & best of all, they are super comfy! I might have to get the black version of them too!>link.

The weather today was insanely warm (don’t ask why I chose to wear a sweater) so I thought it would be a great opportunity to take my new ASOS flatform trainers out for a spin. I have been lusting after these babies for an age but I finally gave in & bought them the other day & thank the looord I did because they are just as amazing in real life as they look on the web. They are the prefect partner for my ever loved neon socks!

I also wore some pretty sweet jewellery today too. The lovely Antonia from Delilah Dust was kind enough to send me this awesome yin yan necklace. I have been wearing it loads recently, I just love how it goes with everything! All of the Delilah Dust jewellery is beautiful. It’s really delicate & dainty & best of all really affordable! The silver hamsa bracelet is courtesy of DIXI as some of you may already know, they had a huge re launch on Sunday so they have loads of new stock at the moment (including some of the lovely Kim's creations!) WHAT I THINK: I am not the biggest tanner in the world, but when I want to bare my legs, I do prefer to have a bit of colour (that’s not strawberry milkshake coloured) without looking too dark/orange. I normally reach for gradual creams, as they are usually more subtle than instant or any other self tans however, after giving the St Tropez bronzing mousse a bash, I don’t think I will be heading back down the gradual tan route any time soon.

I was a little apprehensive at first as I was worried that the St Tropez mousse would be too dark for my skin, I had images of me walking around looking like a tangoed goldfish, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. The tan looks really natural & not orange at all, I am seriously impressed!

Now I can’t talk about the smell (having no sense of smell at all) but I have seen/heard people say that fake tan often smells biscuity? Like I said, I literally have no idea what I’m talking about here, but my boyfriend said that the St Tropaz mousse smelt of almost nothing, in the tube & on the skin, so I guess that’s good?

The mousse formula makes it really easy to apply & it dries pretty fast to, so there’s no ‘walking around the house like John Wayne until it soaks in’ malarkey.  Which is good, because that’s never a good look ;)

Overall, I would say that I am extremely impressed with this product & would definitely re-purchase.
